Consume fruits with their skins and seeds (if edible), as these are particularly high in fibre and phytochemicals.

Some fruits contain sugar, which raises blood glucose levels. If you're concerned about the sugar content of fruits, eat them with some protein/fat to lower the glycemic index (GI) and prevent a sugar spike.
